Dads 4

Earlier this year, Francisco Park helped launch an innovative new program, Dads with Strollers. This regular gathering provides a unique opportunity for dads to come together. Francisco Park is thrilled to be helping support this connection of fathers and young children.

Over the course of our five meetups this year, we’ve hosted ~150 dads and their offspring.  And not just Russian Hill dads. Some have come from as far as the Sunset and Dogpatch. One dad even walked 4 miles to join us!

“When our son was born, my wife’s calendar immediately filled up with mom’s groups and stroller walks, “ said organizer James Hennessy. “I looked at my sad, empty calendar and decided to do something about it. Forty dads showed up to the first one, so apparently I wasn’t alone.”

James added, “Dads often don’t have a default way to meet each other at this stage of life. Francisco Park gave us an easy one. The play structure keeps the more mobile children reasonably contained, which lets the dads actually finish a sentence. It also means the other parent gets a morning off.”

Email us at [email protected] to be added to the Dads with Strollers email list so that we can keep you apprised of upcoming gatherings.

Thanks to rockstar dads Rohin Daswani, James Hennessy, and Matt Susk for helping us launch and host Dads with Strollers.
