Dear Francisco Park Supporters:
We are thrilled to share that the latest issue of the Nob Hill Gazette includes a wonderful feature story on Francisco Park!
The article captures the spirit of our grassroots park project that, after over a decade, is tantalizingly close to success. We could not agree more with the words expressed by Former Mayor Mark Farrell:
“Open space is synonymous with quality of life, especially in San Francisco. It affects residents and visitors of all ages. It breathes life into neighborhoods.”
Visibility for Francisco Park is welcome as we race to meet our goal to match the anonymous matching gift challenge grant by the December 31, 2018.
19 new donations were made to Francisco Park’s 2018 matching gift challenge in the last week, bringing our total raised to $926,031. We are 19% to goal of $5 million!
Thank you to Anne Devereux Mills and David Mills, Maggie and Les Chafen, Jim and Karen Watson, Anonymous, Barbro Osher, Lizabeth and Robert Creager, Erik Gilberg, Carrie and John Goodman, Monica Pauli, Barbara Troast, Shannon McCarthy and Bill Wiley, Deborah Cardenas, Edward Faraci, Charles and Perry Freeman, Robert Harvey, Chelsea Mattoon, Nelly Reyes, Laura Cackette, and Benjamin Burnett for your recent contributions.
We also remain grateful to our full list of supporters whose contributions have made this project possible.
If you have not yet contributed to the Francisco Park project – or if you are inspired to give again – please make a tax-deductible donation here. Also, feel free to reach out to Miegan Riddle at [email protected] for questions about park recognition opportunities.
We have 7 weeks before the end of the year to raise a remaining $4.07 million. Let’s come together and get this done!
