It’s starting to look a lot like Francisco Park!
We are pleased by the plant life that has been taking root on the park site in recent weeks. The terraced slope that connects the Dog Park and the Bay Plaza to the Main Lawn is now entirely planted. We are starting to imagine how it will feel to wind up the elevated walkway, floating above a textured array of perennials that will co-mingle as they spread and grow.
Seedlings are also lined up to be planted along the base of the lawn, accentuating what will already be extraordinary views of the Bay.
Construction of the stairs that will descend into the park from upper Hyde Street is in process, and the children’s playground equipment is starting to be installed. Thank you for your incredible support and patience as the dream park comes to life.
