Dear Francisco Park Supporters,
2019 was a banner year for Francisco Park!
Because of your generosity and support, we were able to prepare the site (thank you to our voracious goats for their part) and at long last, to begin construction last July!
Cahill Contractors has been doing a magnificent job transforming the 4.5 acre site. If you have not peered over the fence recently, the rainwater catchment system is now installed underneath the main lawn, grading for the ADA paths that will wind up from Bay Street to the main lawn is in process, and the foundation and forms for the restrooms are in place.
This time next year, the park’s native plants will be taking root, fauna will be nesting, and all will be able to enjoy the wonderful new San Francisco park!
The hard hat tours we have been holding for our donors this fall have been so much fun. Please make a donation and join us for a tour in the new year! While we have raised an incredible $24M to-date, we need a final $3.5M to complete the original vision for the park.
