Dear Francisco Park Supporters:
I am thrilled to share this news with all of you —
WE WERE SUCCESSFUL IN MEETING THE $6 MILLION MATCHING GIFT CHALLENGE!
Since we started this round of fundraising last July, more than 270 of you made generous contributions. And, exactly on our deadline of January 31, a donation was made which took us over the $5 million mark in this campaign, which then triggered the $6 million matching gift.
In total, we have now raised more than $22 million in contributions and pledges towards the Francisco Park project. With these funds, we can move forward with plans for site preparation and construction in 2019.
We owe this success to the grassroots support from our community. So many of you who spoke to your friends, neighbors, and family members about how important it is to transform the dilapidated Francisco Reservoir property into a new park for our city. Our Board is so inspired by all of you!
We are also especially grateful to our Leadership Circle Donors who stepped in to get us to the finish line. Your vision and commitment is crucial to this project.
