Dear Francisco Park Supporters:
When a group of neighbors got together more than 10 years ago, their vision was to turn the abandoned Francisco Reservoir into a glorious new park for our city. We could not imagine the road ahead!
Together, with help from so many of you, we formed the non-profit Francisco Park Conservancy, presented the case for the park in front of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, negotiated complex agreements with city agencies, hired an award-winning design team of architects and engineers, gathered feedback on the park’s design from hundreds of community members, and doggedly led a grassroots fundraising campaign.
We would not have been able to get to this point without you!
But we still need your help…
We have just 5 weeks before the end of the year to raise a remaining $4 million towards the 2018 Matching Gift Challenge.
If we raise $5 million total, we unlock a $6 million matching gift which will take our total funds committed to more than $22 million. This will allow us to begin construction on Francisco Park in 2019!
Francisco Park is the city’s largest public park project in which a majority of the design, construction, and maintenance costs will be covered by private donations.
I am confident our generous community will come together to make Francisco Park a reality. Let’s keep the momentum going. Please, join us!
