On April 26, Francisco Park hosted a park-wide birthday extravaganza. It was a joy to see the park activated all day with so many diverse offerings – from Yoga to Bubbles to a Music Class to Face Paint to Picnics. Of course, the day’s signature event, the much-anticipated Cake Buffet, stole the show. Neighbors of all ages arrived with brightly colored cakes – from an ube mochi cake to classic meringues and strawberry shortcakes to a caterpillar cake made out of twinkies. Lorenzo the accordionist provided the perfect soundtrack for this gleeful birthday party for Francisco Park.
On May 2, we inaugurated the first of what we hope will be an annual fundraiser, Garden Party. For this first year, the Lepinards opened up their stunning home and gardens for a plein air French picnic. We were thrilled to have 50 Francisco Park supporters join us for a lovely gathering.
